Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a safety storage cabinet and a chemical cabinet?
A type 90 safety storage cabinet is fire-rated according to EN 14470 and withstands fire for 90 minutes. A standard chemical cabinet does not have a fire rating and is used for non-flammable substances.
Does the cabinet need to be connected to ventilation?
Most safety storage cabinets are prepared for connection to a technical exhaust air system. The required airflow varies between models.
Can I store acids and alkalis in the same cabinet?
Yes, SL-line has two separate compartments that make this possible.
