Q-line from asecos is the series of type 90 safety storage cabinets built for everyday lab work. The cabinets provide safe storage of flammable liquids at the workplace and combine a robust construction with easy handling. You get a cabinet that stands up to demanding lab environments and is approved in accordance with EN 14470-1.

How Q-line works

Q-line cabinets are type-tested type 90 safety storage cabinets, which means they resist fire for at least 90 minutes from the outside to the inside. The cabinets are connected to a technical exhaust air system through an integrated DN 75 connection, and a spinning wheel in the exhaust grid indicates sufficient technical ventilation. In the event of fire, the doors close automatically.

• Certifications: Type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-1, DIN EN 16121/16122, GS certified and CE compliant.

Q-line is available in three widths with the same depth and height:

Common data: differential pressure 5 Pa at 10 times air change, door opening angle 89.5°, exhaust air connection DN 75, transport base entry height 90 mm. Manufactured in Germany.

Available variants and interior equipment

Q-line cabinets can be configured with different interior equipment depending on what you need to store:

• Shelves, perforated insert and bottom collecting sump for general storage (shelves rated up to 75 kg)
• Shelves and bottom collecting sump for simpler storage
• Tray shelves with bottom collecting sump for better overview and access
• Drawers for safe storage of smaller containers
• Perforated insert and bottom collecting sump in combination

Interior equipment is available in powder-coated sheet steel, stainless steel and PP (metal free) depending on your application. Bottom collecting sump capacity is 22 litres for the 60 and 90 cm models, and 33 litres for the 120 cm model.

Delivery, warranty and service

Delivery time: We keep a smaller stock in Sweden for faster delivery when needed. Contact us for current delivery time.

Warranty: 24 months from date of delivery. Warranty can be extended up to 5 or 10 years depending on the model when a service agreement is signed.

Commissioning: The cabinet is placed on site, aligned and connected to ventilation. Connection to the ventilation system and adjustment of airflow is normally handled by the customer’s ventilation partner.

Service and support: Service is performed by asecos technicians. Ordering and invoicing can go through Berner Lab if you prefer, and on-site service work is booked and carried out by asecos. For service requests we need model, year of manufacture and serial number, which is found on the label inside the cabinet.

Frequently asked questions about Q-line safety cabinets

What does type 90 mean for a safety storage cabinet?

Type 90 means the cabinet is type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-1 and resists fire for at least 90 minutes from the outside to the inside. It is the highest class within the standard.

Which size of Q-line should I choose?

Q90.195.060 (60 cm wide) suits smaller storage needs. Q90.195.090 (90 cm) is the most common size. Q90.195.120 (120 cm) suits larger storage volumes. All models share the same height (1953 mm) and depth (615 mm).

Does the Q-line cabinet need to be connected to ventilation?

The cabinet is prepared for connection to a technical exhaust air system through DN 75. Recommended minimum exhaust airflow is 4 to 9 m³/h depending on size. Contact your ventilation partner for airflow adjustment.

How long is the warranty on Q-line?

Standard warranty is 24 months. With a service agreement it can be extended up to 5 or 10 years depending on the model.
