G-line gas cylinder cabinets type 90 for compressed gases
G-line gas cylinder cabinets type 90 for compressed gases
G-line gas cylinder cabinets type 90 from asecos for safe indoor storage and dispensing of compressed gases. Type-tested to EN 14470-2, five sizes.
G-line from asecos is a series of type 90 gas cylinder cabinets designed for safe storage and dispensing of compressed gases in the working area. The cabinets are built for storage, provision and direct dispensing from gas cylinders, while minimising the risk of fire and explosive atmospheres. You get a robust cabinet that is type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-2 and built for the demands of modern laboratories.
G-line is used in laboratories and technical rooms where flammable or toxic gases are handled, for example within chemistry, life science, pharmaceutical industry and process industry. We know lab, and G-line is the solution when you need safe and approved indoor storage of gas cylinders.
How G-line works
G-line cabinets are type 90 gas cylinder cabinets, which means they resist fire for at least 90 minutes from the outside to the inside. Even ventilation and extraction throughout the entire cabinet interior safely prevents the formation of explosive atmospheres or harmful vapours. Integrated air ducts are ready for connection (DN 75) to a technical exhaust air system. A large surface area on the top of the cabinet allows flexible lead-through possibilities for piping and gas fittings, without the need for additional insulation.
Key features
- Safe cylinder storage: Storage, provision and dispensing of flammable or toxic gases directly in the working area.
- Robust construction: Body made of powder-coated sheet steel for long service life and durable finish.
- Protection against unauthorised use: Doors lockable with profile cylinder, can be integrated into an existing locking system.
- Even ventilation: Integrated air ducts with DN 75 connection ensure effective exhaust air throughout the entire cabinet.
- Flexible lead-throughs: Large lead-through area on the top of the cabinet for easy routing of piping and gas fittings.
- Easy alignment: Adjusting aids compensate for uneven floors.
- Standard interior equipment: Mounting rails, rolling ramp and cylinder retainer for safe handling when moving cylinders in and out.
- Certifications: Fire resistance 90 minutes, type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-2, DIN EN 16121/16122, GS certified and CE compliant.

Frequently asked questions about G-line gas cylinder cabinets
What does type 90 mean for a gas cylinder cabinet?
Type 90 means the cabinet is type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-2 and resists fire for at least 90 minutes from the outside to the inside. This provides time for evacuation and fire response.
How many gas cylinders fit in G-line?
It depends on the model. The smallest cabinets hold one 50 L cylinder, while the largest hold up to four 50 L cylinders. Smaller cylinders (for example 10 L) can also be combined.
Does the gas cylinder cabinet need to be connected to ventilation?
Yes, G-line cabinets are designed for connection to a technical exhaust air system through DN 75. Recommended minimum exhaust airflow is 4 to 9 m³/h at 10 times air change and up to 111 m³/h at 120 times air change depending on the model.
Can I dispense gas directly from the cylinders in the cabinet?
Yes, the cabinets are designed for both storage and dispensing. They have a large interior height and flexible lead-throughs on the top for gas fittings and piping.
Who carries out service on the cabinets?
Service is performed by asecos technicians. You can place your order through Berner Lab and we will help coordinate the service visit.
