Rotary mills are very well suited for preliminary breakdown and fine grinding of materials that can be soft, medium-hard, brittle, fibrous and temperature-sensitive. Applications and areas of use can be found both in an analysis lab and in industry. The sample is finely divided at high speed by impact and shear forces, the final fineness is determined by the choice of sieve insert. In order to avoid contaminating the samples during grinding as much as possible, the rotor can be offered in stainless steel, titanium or with a PTFE coating.
