PHCbi TwinGuard – dual cooling for maximum sample security
PHCbi TwinGuard is a series of –86 °C ULT freezers with dual, independent cooling systems, designed for the most valuable and sensitive samples. If one cooling system fails, the other can maintain temperatures around –70 °C until service has resolved the issue – an extra level of protection when sample loss is not an option. For even greater security, CO₂ backup is available as an option.
The TwinGuard range includes three upright models with net capacities of 360, 528 and 729 litres, as well as two chest models with a net capacity of 519 litres. This makes it easy to match the freezer configuration to your sample volume, lab layout and workflow.
Typical TwinGuard applications include:
- Temperature-sensitive samples such as therapeutics and biological materials
- Samples that must remain viable, e.g. stem cells, engineered tissues, organs, vaccines, hybridomas, cancer cells or fibroblasts
- Longitudinal study samples and long-term biobanking
- Critical medical research samples and clinical trial material
- High-value pharmaceutical products
- Pathogenic samples in high-containment laboratories
