Flexible Universal shaking trays for Versatile Incubation

Berner Lab provides a wide range of universal shaking trays compatible with all incubator models in our product line.

Universal tray with Screw Holes

Universal trays with screw holes provide a robust and adaptable solution for mounting the widest variety of holders. Each tray is made of corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum and features pre-drilled holes for mounting any holder type. The platform can be configured in any arrangement and reconfigured at any time. It can also be sterilized in an autoclave.

Universal tray with Adhesive Mat

The INFORS green adhesive mat, “Sticky Stuff”, is supplied pre-mounted on a tray and offers exceptional flexibility. It supports all types of vessels with smooth, flat bases, allowing shaking speeds of up to 300 rpm. Unlike standard trays, there is no need to change holders when using different vessel sizes. The adhesive mat is also available in 200 x 200 mm sections and can be reused easily. For cleaning, use only water or a mild soap solution.

DEDICATED universal TRAY

Dedicated trays are equipped with holders for a single flask size — an ideal choice when only one vessel volume is used.

The holders are permanently riveted to the platform and cannot be replaced. Because the holders do not need to be positioned symmetrically, they can be arranged optimally, providing 10–20% higher capacity compared with screw-hole platforms.

These trays can be fitted with holders for microtiter and/or deep-well plates, allowing either horizontal or angled incubation. Both plate types can be combined on the same platform.

To reach higher shaking speeds — typically between 250 and 400 rpm — counterweights can be added for optimal balance.

A tray with pins is ideal for applications requiring incubation of many culture plates simultaneously. A Multitron platform can hold up to 72 deep-well plates or 144 microtiter plates at once.

Mixing plate types and removing individual plates during operation is possible. For optimal aeration, plastic spacer rings can be used to increase distance between plates.

Trays with roller holders allow incubation of vessels in many shapes and sizes. The holders can be fixed at any position along the support rods, and additional holders can be added or removed as needed.
