Heidolph Hei-TORQUE Overhead Stirrers – From Everyday Tasks To Advanced Process Control
The Heidolph Hei-TORQUE series covers everything from compact, easy-to-use overhead stirrers for daily lab work to high-performance, fully connectable models for demanding process applications. All versions share the same robust German design, quiet latest-generation motor technology and the convenient Quick Chuck system, which lets you change stirrer shafts easily without tools. Combined with suitable stirring tools, Hei-TORQUE overhead stirrers help you achieve reliable mixing and excellent homogeneity across a wide range of viscosities and volumes.
Hei-TORQUE Core
The Hei-TORQUE Core is the lightest overhead stirrer in the range (approx. 2.3 kg), making it easy to move, mount on stands or integrate into closed systems, while still delivering solid performance for everyday stirring. It offers speeds up to 2,000 rpm and is suitable for viscosities up to 10,000 mPas and volumes up to 25 liters (H₂O) – ideal for routine mixing tasks and development work.
Operation is kept simple with a clear display, a “Max” button for rapid access to top speed and a quick-action chuck (10.5 mm) that accepts a wide variety of stirring tools. Core focuses on the essential functions and key safety features, giving you a practical, entry-level overhead stirrer that is easy to use and easy to like.
Hei-TORQUE Expert
he Hei-TORQUE Expert is designed for more demanding applications, handling viscosities up to 100,000 mPas and volumes up to 50 liters (H₂O) with a powerful torque of 200 Ncm and a speed range of 10–2,000 rpm. A 2.4″ display makes it straightforward to set and monitor parameters, including a torque trend display that helps you keep an eye on process changes.
A safety-oriented start/stop touch function reduces the risk of accidental start-up. With its quick-action chuck (10.5 mm, with safety ring), the Expert 200 is well suited for use in fume hoods or as a drive for reactor setups and can be combined with many different stirring tools for reliable, reproducible mixing.
Hei-TORQUE Ultimate
The Hei-TORQUE Ultimate takes overhead stirring a step further with extended control and connectivity for high-performance, documented processes. Like the Expert 200, it covers viscosities up to 100,000 mPas, volumes up to 50 liters (H₂O), torque of 200 Ncm and speeds from 10–2,000 rpm, but adds advanced features such as ramp programming, process monitoring with timer and torque trend values, and integrated data/documentation options.
Dual interfaces (USB and RS232) allow flexible connection to a PC, PLC or automation systems such as LabManager, and the included Hei-Control software enables remote control of up to four devices from a single computer.
The Ultimate runs quietly, includes the same safety-focused start/stop touch function and uses a 10.5 mm quick-action chuck with safety ring, making it a strong choice for controlled, automated stirring in fume hoods, reactor systems and scale-up environments.
