Gram’s ExGuard lab refrigerator is designed for the storage of items that may emit harmful, odorous, or explosive gases, ensuring a safer working environment. This lab refrigerator enhances workplace safety by allowing your existing ventilation system to extract hazardous air from the cabinet’s interior before granting access.

Storing substances that release hazardous gases has traditionally been complex. The options have been to either custom-build cabinets with extensive additional equipment to meet safety requirements or, in the worst case, use a standard cabinet, exposing users and surroundings to potentially dangerous air.

Like all other BioLine refrigerators, the ExGuard lab refrigerator complies with ATEX Cat. 3 Zone 2 both internally and externally, ensuring maximum workplace safety. ExGuard is currently available as a 600-liter refrigerator in stainless steel/stainless steel or white/stainless steel, with either a glass or solid door. With external and internal ATEX Cat. 3 Zone 2 compliance, integrated ventilation activation, user safety features, and fail-safe systems, ExGuard simply needs to be connected to an existing ventilation system and power supply, with evacuation timers configured, to set a new industry standard for a practical and safe work environment.

User-friendly operation

ExGuard’s simple access procedure requires minimal training, ensuring safe retrieval of stored items every time.

• A powerful electromagnetic lock keeps the cabinet door securely locked during normal operation.
• To open the cabinet, the user presses “1” on the evacuation control panel, triggering the evacuation and refilling of the cabinet with fresh air.
• Once the evacuation process is complete, the cabinet can be opened.
• When the cabinet is closed, the doors automatically relock.
