AirOtop™ Enhanced Seals (patented) are sterile single-use filters that provide high gas exchange for all shaking flasks. Each filter features a 0.2 μm sterile barrier with a resealable membrane, compatible with Ultra Yield™ flasks as well as other brands. Multiple sizes are available to fit most commercially available flasks.

Customers have tested the filters successfully for up to 24-hour cultivation. Tests included Protista (algae), E. coli, and other microbes, resulting in improved and more aerobic growth across all tested lines. The pH of the cultures also remained more neutral.

HOW DO THEY WORK?
AirOtop™ filters act as a clean, sterile barrier that allows gas exchange while blocking contaminants such as condensate and airborne particles like phages, mold, spores, and dust. They replace plastic and metal caps, aluminum foil, cotton plugs, and cloth, offering a convenient solution for various types of flasks.

When used with Ultra Yield™ flasks, they form a simple high-yield system by providing maximum gas exchange, thereby improving cell growth and productivity.
